Ghostwriter for Statamic

An addon for the Statamic control panel. It learns how your site writes, drafts new entries in that voice, and puts every draft into the publish form for you to check and save.

Statamic 6 · PHP 8.3 or later

Writing beside the form

Write with Ghostwriter on a new entry opens a panel beside the publish form. You answer the brief, Ghostwriter drafts, and you ask for changes in conversation. Use this draft fills the form. Nothing is published for you.

The content plan in Statamic, with ideas for each collection

A plan for what to write next

Ideas based on what each collection already has and what it lacks. Any idea can be opened as a new entry.

Finding a photo for an assets field, with the best matches marked

Images that match the page

A Ghostwriter button sits on assets fields. It finds photos in free libraries that match the images already used there, or makes a new one in that style.

A guide to how the site sounds

Ghostwriter reads a sample of your published entries and writes down who is talking and to whom, how pieces are shaped, and the words you use and the ones you never do. Edit it by hand or ask for changes.

How it fits Statamic

Any collection
Plain fields, a Bard body, or a Replicator page builder. It reads each blueprint and the entries already there.
Revisions
Use this draft fills the publish form. With revisions on, it becomes a working copy for you to review.
Permissions
One permission, Use Ghostwriter, alongside Statamic’s own permission to edit entries in that collection.
The queue
Model calls run as Laravel queue jobs, so a queue worker is used if you have one.
Files, not tables
Guides, kinds and the plan are flat files in your project that you can version, like the rest of Statamic.
Your own key
Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. Keys are read from the environment each time and never stored.
