Ghostwriter for Craft CMS
Ghostwriter learns how your site writes, then drafts new entries in that voice. It works with any section: a single rich text body, a Matrix or Neo page builder, or plain fixed fields.
Writing beside the form
Write with Ghostwriter on a new entry opens a panel over the form. You answer the brief, Ghostwriter drafts, and you ask for changes in conversation. Use this draft puts it into the entry’s Craft draft. Nothing is published for you.
A plan for what to write next
Ideas based on what each section already has and what it lacks. Any idea can be opened as a new entry.
Images that match the page
A Ghostwriter button sits beside “Add an asset” on image fields. It finds photos in free libraries that match the images already used there, or makes a new one in that style.
A guide to how the site sounds
Ghostwriter reads a sample of your published entries and writes down who is talking and to whom, how pieces are shaped, and the words you use and the ones you never do. Edit it by hand or ask for changes.
How it fits Craft CMS
- Any section
- A single rich text body, a Matrix or Neo page builder, or plain fixed fields. It reads each field layout and the entries already there.
- Craft drafts
- Use this draft writes into the entry’s Craft draft. Edits go into your own provisional draft, and the live entry is untouched until you save.
- Permissions
- One permission, Use Ghostwriter, alongside Craft’s own permission to save entries in that section.
- The queue
- Model calls run as jobs in Craft’s queue, so it works with no setup and uses a queue worker if you have one.
- Files, not tables
- Guides, kinds and the plan live in config/ghostwriter as files you can version. Ghostwriter adds no database tables.
- Your own key
- Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. Keys are read from the environment each time and never stored.
